Installation design
The Chapel of Rave & Reflection
Overview.
Brief: Create more intimacy and separation in the the space on the dance floor via a temporary installation, for a charity fundraiser DJ gig raising funds for Palestinian families in need. The design had to work for a quick set up & pack down: all on the same day and night. In response, I designed a modular installation out of CLS pine studwork and fire-proof grade window films.
Role: Project lead, Concept, Art director, Set designer, fabricator.
Special thanks to Joshua Luke Jackson for the carpentry planning and sketch up modelling for the joint system.
Special thanks to Alexia Vasilarou, Luqman Sadiq, Jo Lockwood, Cheshta Kela for assisting with the build, install and deinstall.

Concept.
A concentrated space to access deeper connection or contemplation, and foster feelings of a hopeful future. Windows to play with perspectives, framing various parts of the church’s interior and the community within. A visual language in response to the church’s stained glass windows and the Palestinian flag.
Impact.
Raised over £2,500 in one night for charity.
